Shopping at Drewsi provides you with great gear you'd buy anyway, with one major difference: We use a portion of every sale to create free custom t-shirts for underprivileged kids, each decorated with their own design.
How can you help?
The more you buy, the more we donate. Also don't forget that in addition to the educational benefits of custom t-shirts, the kids are getting a fantastic quality t-shirt, maybe one of the best in their wardrobe. It's an awesome experience and practical.
Other than buying our products, you can help us by sharing the Drewsi mission with your friends and family on social media, in the office, everywhere! Our hope is that you love your Drewsi gear so much that every time someone says, "hey, I like your t-shirt" you'll proudly tell them where they can buy their own.
Does Drewsi still make free t-shirts if I 'Design My Own' gear?
Yes! Whether you're choosing from our online store's hand-picked designs, or customizing gear with designs you've uploaded, we're setting aside part of your purchase to create custom t-shirts for disadvantaged kids.
When do we create and donate the free t-shirts to kids?
We prefer to give t-shirts to entire groups of kids (such as a classroom) simultaneously to create a shared, and thus more powerful, experience. We make a big event out of it, complete with a discussion on how their t-shirts were made and how every child in the world can be an entrepreneur.
The prices of our 'Design Your Own' products include professional editing of your design!
Our 'Design Your Own' service puts a design you upload on an item in our store. It's super simple! You just pick the products you want, upload the design you want to use, and we take care of the rest. Our team will professionally edit the picture you've uploaded to generate the highest quality print.
We think quality editing, printing, and materials are critical to the educational process. If they or you won't actually wear the stuff, what lesson are we teaching? We want kids and parents to understand that children are budding entrepreneurs. They'll understand this much better if they (and you!) actually love to wear and display your Drewsi gear.
Once your basic unedited picture is uploaded (such as from your mobile phone), our team takes over. We edit the graphic, place it on the products you've selected, and send it off to the printers. The whole process takes a few weeks (editing, printing, shipping and eventually kiddo smiles as they open the package). The end result is unforgettable!
Great question! First and foremost, we're definitely not trying to "improve" the design you upload. Kids designs are amazing as is! They're original and as intended by the artist. That said, sometimes designs need a professional touch to ensure a high-quality print.
Our editing service extracts the essence of a child's artwork by cleaning up the background, stray marks, shadows and folds. We also try to restore colors to their original vibrancy which can be lost if the camera or lighting aren't great. We want the artwork to look like it was drawn professionally right on the product.
We occasionally add a white background or border, darken lines that are hard to see, and other small tweaks to ensure a fantastic print. But we do so only to ensure the child's imagination is presented in the professional manner it deserves. We also use discretion in deciding where to place the design on the product. A key part of our expertise is recognizing what designs work well, and where they're best placed, on each Drewsi product.
We promise to do our best! Creating a high quality print from an amateur photograph (no offence!) is no easy task. (Note: the photographer might be an amateur but the artist is an expert!) There are many tricks to the trade that we use to enhance an image to match the original design quality.
A perfect match is tough, but in our experience your little artist will be too mind-blown seeing their own artwork on their own clothing to notice any minor differences. For example, they'll never notice the difference between off-white, eggshell and creme brulee.
If you're sure the design you're uploading is original and not a copy of someone else's work, then there's nothing to worry about! However, it's a litigious world we live in. Apologies for the legal language that follows.
If you have any doubt whether the drawing you're uploading can be reproduced legally and without permission, please choose a different drawing. If any legal or other monetary cost results from us printing a design you've uploaded, you are 100% liable. We are a charitable business and take zero responsibility for your designs.

If you'd like to exchange your product for any reason, we'll provide a store credit once the unwashed and unworn item is returned to us. Please review the product description and size guide to ensure a quality fit!
We work with custom kids designs and are a charitable business, so please understand that it's difficult for us to have too lenient of an exchange policy. There are no refunds.
